This isn't just a distance; it’s a physical tribute to the grit and sacrifice of the paratrooper. You are carrying the weight of that legacy—and your own gear—to prove you have what it takes to shoulder the burden. The Objective

• Distance: 8.2 Miles

• The Load: Recommended 35–45 lbs (The All-American standard) but ultimately Rucker’s Choice. 

• The Goal: Maintain a steady, purposeful pace to honor the mission timeline.

Estimated Completion Time

All-American Standard: The 82nd Airborne prides itself on the "Airborne Shuffle." If you want to truly earn that patch, aim to keep your pace under 15 minutes per mile.
